Experience
I have tutored one on one at various age and education levels in the areas of science, mathematics, writing, reading, SAT, and MCAT exams. Age levels have ranged from grade school to undergraduate level. In addition, I have taught an undergraduate introductory chemistry lab and upper level biology courses. I also taken and tutored at the NYS regents level. As a PhD candidate, I am a teaching assistant for undergraduates. I love to learn and share my love of learning with students. My classroom approach is to make it as interesting and applicable to life as possible so students can maintain perspective as to why they're learning. I have taken classes up to graduate level in biology, chemistry, writing, math and statistics. I have a wide range of work experiences as a young female scientist and feel that it helps to make the classroom an interesting place for aspiring scientists and hopefully inspirational to young girls who are hesitant to become involved in science and mathematics.
