Experience
I am a tutor from Corum, New York, with experience in both the public and private school systems. I am currently working towards my master's degree in Liberal Studies with a Business and Marketing focus at Stony Brook University. I have experience as a teacher and a learner, and I believe this has increased my sensitivity to the needs of my students. I have been working in a teaching capacity for 7 years, sharing my knowledge with young adults as a Teaching Assistant and as a Substitute Teacher. I believe my education, work, and travels have given me insight into the meaning and value of lifelong learning. I spent 3 years as the Head of the Business and Marketing Department in Bahria College located in Islamabad, Pakistan. It was there that I worked to develop curriculum, organized tours, and coordinated events at the college. During that time I also taught Economics and Business Studies to undergraduate students. I enjoy tutoring Economics, Microeconomics, Business, Reading, and English. My vision is to prepare students for work while incorporating a deep appreciation for global awareness and citizenship. I also strongly encourage social and academic competence while incorporating the cultures of all students. In addition to teaching, I enjoy reading business journals, playing chess, and playing bridge.
