I am Misbah, and I currently live in Coram, NY. I am a student enrolled at Stony Brook University as an economics major, with an intense focus on macroeconomics. I am very enthusiastic about tutoring, as I enjoy helping others reach their goals, and I also learn things while teaching that I wouldn't have learned otherwise. I look at tutoring as sort of a shared journey between myself and my student, learning and overcoming challenges together. I feel this is an effective way to approach teaching, as I am able to discover each student as an individual and tune in to their specific needs. I am able to tutor for students in middle school mathematics; numerous college mathematics courses; macroeconomics; microeconomics; and test prep for SAT mathematics, writing, and critical reading; AP calculus AB; and PSAT writing skills exams. I like to stay active outside of my own academic world and enjoy studying political science, history, and physics. I also like to stay active playing badminton, and I am active on the chess team, debate team, and in student government.
